Uzbekistan’s population exceeds 39 million people — preliminary census results
Uzbekistan’s actual population turned out to be higher than current statistical estimates. According to preliminary census data released by the National Statistics Committee, as of 15 January 2026, the country’s population was over 39 million — 810,617 more than previously estimated.
